What I've Been Up to Lately

I know I’ve been a little MIA, but it’s within good reason. After years of practicing various forms of meditation, I decided to take my practice a step further by attending the Jiivana Meditation Teacher Training Program. Yes, you read that right! I officially became a Meditation teacher this summer. I never saw myself guiding others into peace, especially when I have my own chaos. God definitely knows how to giggle at the plans we have for our lives. Though sometimes challenging, this meditation journey has been (will continue to be) filled with gratitude, self-awareness, compassion and peace.

Meditation practice isn’t about trying to throw ourselves away and become something better; it is about befriending who we are. –Pema Chödrön

Meditation can be done anywhere, anytime, it requires no equipment, and comes with endless benefits.

Benefits of Meditation (to name a few):

  • Decreases anxiety and depression

  • Helps reduce blood pressure

  • Reduces stress

  • Sharpens the mind

  • Builds self-confidence
